The Phillies take RHP Alex Garbrick out of University of South Carolina Upstate in the 17th round of the draft. Garbrick spent his first 4 years at Morehead State.
Garbrick was drafted in the 40th round by the Yankees in 2019. Last fall he was up to 95 while sitting in the low 90s (see second tweet below). His numbers across his career have been poor, but he missed bats this year while making 14 starts.
