Since this likely to get buried wherever tweets go to die here are some quick Phillies pitching updates from Baseball America’s Josh Norris (who writes up the Phillies Top 30 among many other things).
Just spoke to Joe Jordan for 90 minutes. One bit of news: Shane Watson will have another shoulder surgery. #Phillies

RT @rote7123: @jnorris427 ugh…will he pitch at all next year? //Too early to say, but sounds like a cleanup procedure.

Also, Jesse Biddle will have an MRI on his left elbow, but team is optimistic enough to believe he will pitch again this winter. #Phillies

Also, something I didn’t realize in re: Jesse Biddle and hail. The offending pellet was described as “tennis-ball sized."

I guess that constitutes slight good news for Jesse Biddle, but that is devastating news for Shane Watson who was considered a bit of a draft steal and was starting to put it together early in 2013 season. The 2012 draft has worked out poorly to this point.
