In the middle of the debate over new and old school ways of thinking about baseball is that the smartest organizations in the game do one thing in common; they gather every piece of information they can get their hands on. It has always surprised me that we never treat the minor leagues the same way. In many ways the minor league and amateur ranks are the last bastions of the old way of baseball, with the public perception narrowed down to what scouts and prospect evaluators say and what the daily box score says. The problem is that we lack the bridges to bring everything together.
The goal of this site is to start off small, with a single organization, the Philadelphia Phillies. To see what we can find by bringing together scouting, stats, managerial opinions, and every other piece of information we can get our hands on.
We will not be bringing you daily box scores or game recaps. There are plenty of excellent beat writers and sites who do that already. We won’t be just giving you transactions that happen, but why they happened and what they mean. Yes, there will be a larger focus on prospects with major league impacts, but the system as a whole is an integral part of the process.
If you would like to contribute to this endeavor you can send me an email, message me on Twitter, or post on the site. We are looking for people who can provide thoughtful insight that can advance the communities overall knowledge.

I am working on a documentary about Kelly Dugan. A two-minute video is posted on YouTube 15 years ago by @phuturephillies. We would love to use the video in our documentary, but the quality of the video online is too low, and we can’t find another version. It would be a massive addition to our documentary, and I know you wrote for that website years ago, so, would you, by any chance, happen to have a higher-resolution version of that video?
Let me know.
Best,
Sam Weitzman-Kurker
Unfortunately I didn’t take any of the video and 15 years ago would pre-date me (I started writing in late 2012).
