No reason was given but the Phillies have replaced Dylan Cozens on the AFL roster with Aaron Brown. Cozens finished the year strong with Reading and was playing in the Florida Instructional League as recently as a few days ago. Like Cozens, Brown also missed time in the middle of the year while playing for the Threshers. He was much better in the second half (.274/.342/.411 8.1% BB%) than he was in the first half (.240/.305/.401) showing less power in exchange for much more on base ability. He has played all three outfield positions, but is best suited for right field where his arm plays best. He is already 23 despite being drafted in the third round last year and is behind on needed ABs because he spent his years in college split between hitting and pitching. Brown might be a better prospect that Cozens, but he needs to make up for lost time quickly.
