Phillies Take Connor Brogdon In the 10th Round of the 2017 Draft

The Phillies end their day with another college senior. Connor Brogdon is a 6’6″ RHP out of Lewis-Clark State in Idaho. In the last two rounds of Day 2 it is all about finding players that will sign for very little money, but also have a chance to be a contributor in some form. Brogdon had a great year with 99 strikeouts in 80.1 innings this season. He was Baseball America’s second best prospect out of Idaho, but their report doesn’t have any mention of his stuff. My guess is that he signs for not much and is a reliever in pro ball, likely with Williamsport. I will update if I see any information on his stuff.
