Notes:

  • The Lehigh Valley group sticks together for another year, Burris in particular has had a tangible impact on their pitching development
  • Reading much of the same as well
  • Greg Legg and Shawn Williams both move up with their group of players which could be very good for the growth of some of the Phillies younger prospects
  • Steve Schrenk was in Clearwater last year but was with GCL team
  • Prada has a bit of a demotion from Threshers Manager to Lakewood Coach, but he adds some diversity to what could be a very Latin heavy team
  • Roly DeArmas will be entering his 12th year as manager of the GCL Phillies and has had a consistently very young set of players to work with and could have a large contingent of 2014 J2 signings on his roster this year
  • Pat Borders (1992 World Series MVP) will be managing for the first time as he takes the helm for Williamsport
  • Only other major change is that Carlos Arroyo goes back to being a roving pitching coach and Rafael Chaves from the Dodgers takes over as pitching coordinator
