The Phillies have added Jesse Biddle, Adam Morgan, and Nefi Ogando to the 40 man roster. The three were widely expected to be added to the roster with Biddle and Morgan as the former #1 and #2 prospects in the system, both have good upside but have seen their stock slip sharply due to injuries. Ogando brings big stuff from the right side and could be an impact reliever if he harnesses his command. The moves put the 40 man roster at 38.

Matt – The roster is at 38, not 37. For whatever reason, the roster at the Phils’ web site doesn’t include Jerome Williams. In the transactions, they list him as having become a free agent after the WS – even though the Phils signed him for 2015 a week or so earlier.
I don’t think that site is maintained by people who are actually Phillies fans (or possibly baseball fans at all). I should retire and try to get that job…
