Minor League Rosters Released (Not Official)

Jim Peyton of Phuture Phillies has posted a picture of minor league rosters.  Overall the assignments are very conservative so we will see how everything shakes out early in the season.  These rosters are unofficial, and if they end up being the official rosters they are subject to constant change because this is the nature of the season.

  1. I found somethings here very interesting even if it is unofficial.

I thought Alberto Tirado was going to be tried out as a starter? I heard they wanted to keep that “core group” of prospects together which surprised me to see Crawford and Quinn in AA and I know he’s not the biggest prospect but I figured Deivi Grullon would have been in high A by now.

By the way, I know the AAA rotation has been getting a lot of hype but the AA rotation looks very good as well.

  2. What is Jimmy Cordero’s injury? I feel like I haven’t heard about that. Hope it’s nothing serious.

Arano to the bullpen is expected but still a bit disappointing.
