Looking to Add Writers

I started this blog back in June because I had a different vision for a prospect site.  I wanted a place that would provide reference resources on as many players in the Phillies system as I could get information on and would be able to provide information and analysis that wasn’t just a regurgitation of stats and stories from other sites.  I can’t say that I have accomplished all those goals since June, but I think we are headed in the right direction.  We have picked up a couple of writers in that journey as well and I am very thankful of their contributions and proud to have their articles run on this site.  The goal now is to build on what is already done and really grow the quality and quantity of content here going into the 2015 season.

Contributor:

This position is more aimed at those that go to games to evaluate the talent on the field.  I don’t care if you are Phillies focused or have formal scouting experience.  What I am looking for is people who are getting eyes on players and want to pass a long those observations from the objective to the subjective.  This is a position meant for contributing at your skill and commitment level.  I am not looking for beat writers and game recaps, and I am also not expecting you to be able to go out and say whether the pitcher is going to have future plus command.  There are so many things going on around and on a baseball field that should be reported on and discussed and I am willing to work with you in a capacity that matches your interests.

Guest Writer:

Less of a standing position and more of an open invitation.  If you feel you have singular item that you think fits into what we are doing here you can submit it via email to me and if we think that it fits we will be happy to run it on the site.

Unfortunately all positions are non-paying.  I currently fund this blog out of my own pockets, I wish I could pay writers here, but that just isn’t feasible.  What I can offer is freedom to really run with and own a topic and analysis.  The goal of this site is not to report transactions and stats, it is try and find meaning behind those events.
