40 Man Roster and Rule 5 Look Ahead

With the trade deadline over and the team struggling it is inevitable we begin to look ahead to the offseason.  One of the big events is the Rule 5 draft because the decisions made by the organization reflect their opinions on the players involved.  We will go in depth on what cuts make sense to happen as it gets closer to the draft.  For now here are the players involve

40 Man Roster:

Rather than try and guess who will be on the roster a year from now in terms of major leaguers here are the guys who are still young and are not locks to be on the major league club out of camp, or are still on the fringes of prospect status.

2010 Draft:

Last year the 2010 draft first had players eligible for the Rule 5 draft.  This year the entire draft class is eligible for the Rule 5 draft.

2011 Draft: 

All players over the age of 19 at the time of the 2011 draft are eligible for the Rule 5 draft this year.
